Trip to Arkansas

That was a good trip. I was going to Arkansas with my father side of the family. It is fun going with them on trips because of the things they do. We had to go pick up my uncle from Memphis so we can trail his to Hot Springs, Arkansas. That is the birthplace of Bill Clinton. On the road, my cousin and I listened to music and sang to the songs that we played on Rock Band. My aunt and boyfriend joined in on the fun also. There was a time where we went to sleep and rest up for the rest of the day. Finally we were in Arkansas. We were still following my uncle and I was getting tired of looking at the road. We got lost and that did not make it any better. At the time we got lost, my cousin, my aun't boyfriend, and I had to use the bathroom. There was not a restroom in sight. We had to go in the woods and use it, wiping our behinds with napkins. That was not a good thing. I did not feel good whatsoever. We were off by a lot of miles. We finally got back on the right track and finally made it to Hot Springs. We got ourselves situated and went to Olive Garden and got something to drink. We ate as a family and enjoyed ourselves. I was having fun but I waned my parents to come. I did not feel complete. I at least wanted to them to have at least one trip with their daughter before I left to go to college. Anyway, we did everything we can. Me and my cousins went swimming and tried to drown everyone in the swimming pool. The next day, we went to IHOP for breakfast and went to the mall to go shopping. We did the same thing when we got back to the room. My uncles and aunts played Spades while we were in the other room drinking Grey Goose, something I regret doing. The next day, we went to IHOP for breakfast again. But this time we went to the bath house since Hot Springs was known for its water. I felt so good once we left due to a massage. We went back to the room and played cards. The next day we left and went back home.

Haters

When the word haters come to mind most people have the same conclusion. They are hating on you, your family, what you got, what they could never have or what they want to be. thats what my defintion of a hater is. Haters are all around us really. they can even be your own family and people you call friends. when it comes between men and women however i believe that women have most haters. women have so much to live up to. the make up, the clothes, the shoes, the hair if one of these are even slightly off one day your peers would make someone nasty comment about you. i believe that this is crude because you have no idea what kind of things they could be going through such as a death in the family or someone has just broken their heart or it just could be their own style. i believe that people are going to hate automatically because your style is different or you look different just because thats not what society calls beatuiful. These sterotypoes are something that we as americans need to reconsider. kids are going to school tormented because they dont have on what everyone else have. this can drive childern to bring weapons to school or even worse commit sucide. See if haters would hate so hard then we would have so many problems in the school systems. I know my cousin who works with childern at this local high school for nurse work tells me all the time that kids hate others so bad that its awful what they say to them. But haters dont have to just in school. they can be at your job, your local groccery store and even your own local church.

High school

My four years of high school were okay for a change. My first year of high school was dreadful. I was not focused like I should have been, making it harder for me to have a good time. I was trying to fit in when I knew they were not my friends to begin with. My ninth grade year was a mess. I did not like some of my teachers. I should have tried to do better and not worry about what looked cool and what did not. As the days were passing by, I was smart enough to know what is right and what is wrong. Even though I did not do as good as I should have, I made up my mind to focus the next year. It went okay the next year because I knew what was going on around school. I did better this year. I was happy with myself because I had focus more on my work. I made the colorguard team for the varsity band. I was going to have something to do. I put my best in the colorguard team, even though I was scared of the pole. I know this is sad but after I knocked my front tooth. Evern though it was tragic, I gained courage and bravery from that hit. I became good at twirling that six foot pole with a weight. I did that for three years in high school. I started to be myself and not worry about what people had to say. If they did not like how I did things, then too bad on them. I still had a lot to look forward to.

My junior year, I finally had my driver's license. I was able to drive to school almost everyday. I felt better because I had one more year until I become a senior. I was still in the varsity band twirling the flag on the field. That was the year that my band director killed himself but we had to go on. The days passed by quickly. I finally made it to my senior. I felt like I was on top of the world. That year, I was able to drive to school everyday. I had ordered my graduation stuff and was excited. I did not have that many classes to deal with. The days passed by even quicker. Next thing you know, I was wearing my cap and gown with a white stole for honors on graduation day. I was so proud of what I accomplished.

Love

To me love is a word that people use and sometimes they have no idea the effect on others when they say it. to love means to tender love and care for someone. I also think there are different types of love. There is love you have for your family. some would say that love for your family is unbreakable. i believe that this is false because so family members can go on for decades and not speak or think about their realtive. i believe that this kind of love for your family is something that you are born to care for. the next type of love is the love between a man and a woman or a woman or woman or man to man or whatever you want to say it just cant be a person you are related to. This kind of love is something you have to be taught. for example how to treat a young lady on the first date. This kind of love you have to work on with another partner. you have to learn how to trust, talk and live with one another constantly. You have to fight issues out and sometimes they can be for the better or for the worse. Love can be complicated and it can be kind. some people abuse the word love. they abuse it by taking advantage of the other person. They treat them as a end to an end. for example someone can say they love you and they want to marry you but they could only want in return is your money that you family has because you are rich. i have seen it done before time and time again. its sad but over half of marriages now do end up in divorce because of the word love was never taken seriously.

Paparazzi

The paparazzi are crazy. They do about anything to get a picture of a celebrity. I do not get it. Why go through so much to sell a picture of a famous star? People can get hurt that way. This job requires a lot your commitment to getting some money to help you with your lifestyle. Some of the paparazzi are nice and respectful. Instead of yelling out their names and flashing pictures, halfway blinding them, they go up to the celebrity and ask is it alright to take a picutre of them. The celebrities would kindly accept the offer because they look good for the night. Those pictures come out way much better than the ones that chase down their car to get a picture of their eye. Why can't all of them be that way? For other celebrities, they almost lose their life to fame. Some of them get ran over by a car or fall out of trees. They try everything like trespassing to get a photo of the new baby in their life. That is what messed up Britney Spears life. She could not concentrate on her life because people expect her to be the little girl that everybody fell in love with, forgetting that she has to grow up someday.

All these babies coming in the world of celebrities have been on almost every gossip column that you can think of. For example, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt been on the front page when they first started adopting children. That is too much. We learned about Halle Berry baby. They even followed little Saria around with mama Katie Holmes and daddy Tom Cruise. We found out about Amy Winehouse being metally disturbed due to her drug abuse. We even know who have the hottest bodies and who do not. Did they forget that they are people too? They have lives. They want to have a peaceful time without a flash coming here and there. They want to go shopping without having to let down the blinds to block out the paparazzi spotlight. It does not take all of that.

My Dog Taco

taco is the love of my life. she was born july 30th 1999. i got her when she was six weeks old.i was seven at the time. i never thought i would get a dog. my sister told me that she would bring a dog home and its name was taco but i thought she was just going to bring home a taco on a leash! i remember when i first saw here she was so small i held her and fed her. she was so cute. she would get into everything. she would eat paper, chew on the wood, run around the table six times for no reason. she was very loveable. the first time she peed ont the news paper was so cute. me and my sister were so proud of her.one time i walked her to go use the bathroom and it was very dark. so as we were walking i accidently stepped on her foot making her holler. the next day she was limping really bad. so i took her to the hosptial and they confimed that her leg was broken. i was so sad i cried for hours saying that it was my fault and i should have been more careful. so the next few weeks i had to really take care of her. i had to pick her up and carry her down the stairs so she could go outside and use the bathroom. i think when i realized how much this dog ment to me. ever since then me and my dog has been closer than two peas on a pod. when i came to southern miss i couldnt go home as often as i would like. i missed her dearly. i would call my dad everyday just so i could hear the dog. now that i think about it that was silly of me but i have learned to live without her. everytime i go home we have fun. we walk all around the neighborhood, play fetch and even go on joy rides. i love my dog and i do believe that dogs are truly mans best friend.

College

College is nice. When the freshmen get here, they feel independent because they do not have to worry about their parents being around them saying what and what not to do. It is a nice place to get to know people and find where you belong. There are different kinds of groups that will be seen on campus. It is okay for the time being but, you have to limit your schedule so you will not be on academic probation. College can become overwhelming whenever it can due to some of the classes that are being taken. I know for me, chemistry and biology takes up the most paper when it comes to notes. I am so happy that both of my teachers let us print out the notes. If not, I believe I would be lost, trying to find a way out. At college, you are treated as an adult. You do not have to come to classes unless you are needed. You just make sure that you pass that exam. Perfect attendance is not an option. You need to keep up with what is going on in the class.

College students go out and party, like to the clubs. I have been to the club plenty of times where I seen almost everybody on campus. For us, Thursday are the best days to go to the club because people usually go home on the weekends. The different programs being held at school can be so much fun. Step shows that are held on campus are sometimes worth the money that has been paid to see these men and women that step with a heavy and chant, showing the sorority or fraternity that they are representing. The talents shows can be soothing and fun, sometimes dreadful and bad. So far, everything has been going well for me and I do not mind staying here for another three years.

Cheerleading

Cheerleading is a very competitive sport. It includes hard work that takes month to endure. First you have to know the basics. To start off you have to know the motions which are the certian moves you hit when you are saying a cheer. they have to be tight and sync with the others cheerleaders or else it would look awful. second you have to knowhow to say the cheers. you have to say it loud and clear or else the crowd will never know what you are saying. they have to be short and to the point or else people will start losing interest. third thing you need to know is how to jump. their are various jumps such as a toe touch, right herkie, left herkie, double nine and pike. these jumps take months to prefect. good flexiablity is required. Your toes have to be pointed and height is important. Cheerleaders have to have powerful leg muscles to bring the height for the jumps. Flipping is also another key part. Now i know not every cheerleader knows how to flip but it bring excitement to the table when they go to compete or show off to the other teams cheerleaders. Flipping starts off with the basics such as a simple backbend to standing backhandspring and later on even standing tucks or fulls. These can take months or even years to prefect. most cheerleaders do gymnastics before they become cheerleaders so that they can already have the flipping down pat. Cheerleading is a a very time comsuming sport. you have to make sure that you know every cheer and motion. Its like you practice and practice till it is perfect. you can cheer from preschool to college levels. they even have all star teams which include sometime people who graduate from college. they do have professional cheerleaders in the nfl and the nba and also which is new baseball. these girls are trained very hard thoughout the year just to preform with some of the greatest teams in the nation. one of the very well known famous cheerleading teams are the dallas cowboy cheerleaders.

Sex in the media

The statement "Sex sells" is true. Everywhere you go, you see some kind of sexual preference going on, especially on the internet. Back in the days, sex was not really put forth in the world. It was not put out there until the 60s where hippies came in the world. After that, it bloomes in the business. In the present, it could be on the television talking about condoms. Some perfumes and colognes have people looking like they are making love on the computer to promote a fragrance. On the internet, you see sexually explicit things without even going on the porn site. It does not take a lot of skin to promote things some kind of way. It is nice to be sexy without being skanky. The media need to know that there are children that does not need to see this at such an early age. For example, Adult Swim comes on at night on Cartoon Network. Now do not get me wrong. I like Family Guy and Boondocks. I be killing myself laughing at Peter make a fool of himself. Anyway, that is besides the point. All little children do not be sleep by ten o'clock at night. On Family Guy, Peter is naked without showing his penis. They should keep them on another station that does not have to be on children's station.

Another example of sex in the media is Victoria's Secret. When the name is mentioned, the first thing that comes to the mind is lingerie. In their commercials, all you see the women have on are bras and panties. But once you think about it, that what promotes the business. That is why it is big as it is now. I like the clothes though. Some music videos promote sex. The girls have on clothing that do not even cover half of their booty. It is not that serious to have that on a video. They should not have to have such little fabric and much skin. Again can I say that people can be sexy without being skanky.

My future

For my future, I want to live a good life. I plan to become an obstetrician and gynecologist after my long years of being college and residency. I want to marry a good man that will help me support the family. I just need to get through my first college first. I would like to graduate with honors. I also want to graduate early so I can get out of school before my expected graduation year. I planned everything out for me. I am destined to get what I can. I am going to have a big house with at least four bedrooms and five bathrooms. The kitchen is going to be big with a dining room table that will fill the room next to the kitchen. The master bedroom is going to be the biggest room in the house. It would be nice to have a sun room. I want my house to have an inground swimming pool with a pool house. I know that is going to cost some money. That is why I am going to college now. My mother and father always said that I am expensive and the career I am going to have is right on my path when it comes to the salary. When I get married, I want my wedding to look expensive on a good budget. That will be so nice. The colors are going to be white and red rose. The cake will be sweet and big. My dress is going to be custom made. I am also going to have a good chef so the people will not leave the reception trying to find some good food. A few years down the road, four lovely children will be in my life and I will try to steer them the same way my mama steered me. My husband and I are going to live the good life and I am not about to have anyone direct me on the wrong path. I want my children to have what I needed. They are going to be smart and beautiful, just like their mother. I am going to age with beauty and wisdom, looking younger than my age. That will be my future. I need to get started on it right now.

College Athletes

In high school athletes work their hardest to get scholarship for college. The passion for the particular sport gets real competitive when trying t o get a scholarship. In college it seems as if athletes get special priveledges compared to regular college students. of course when people think of college sports or scholarships the first thing come to mind is football. Football is a sport that receive a lot of money at a game and also fans. In college life, the football plays life is based around the fooball and a little life of their on. College athletes are those who represent the school and also themselves in that particular sports. Although its seems fun, hardwork is required. I have a friend that run track and field for The University of Southern Mississippi. When we be together she is always running to practice or to do her study hall. I can tell through our conversation that she enjoys it because she is always talking about practice and her teammates. When I look at her and see how fit she is it make me want to join a team to do a sport. Because she is an athlete she must present herself in an appropiate manner, keep her grades up and practice when there is practice. College athletes are basically required to do a lot with school and also the sport. In college their are many sports a college student can participate in.

Vehicles

Vehicles are good for transportation. There are cars, trucks, and SUVs are seen everywhere. They can be seen in on highways, intersections, bypasses, streets, roads, and old country roads. There are different types of companies that support these vehicles. A famous type of car is a Honda Accord. Everywhere you go, you at least see more than three everyday. Another famous type of company you see a lot of are Nissan. Everybody know at least somebody that has a Altima, Maxima, or Sentra. There are trucks that are good for picking up heavy duty things, such as four-wheelers, trailers full of cows and horses. I call those the country trucks. They look good too. The way they look makes me want to go and buy one just to have for fun.

Some of these cars around here can look good. Some look like they need to be sent to the junk yard and bashed into a small cube. I do not know why they have those cars on the road. It looks like the car cost fifteen dollars with the title. One car that I am glad they did not put back on the market after the 1970s was a Pascar, whatever the name of it is. All I know it had a very big humpback and it was ugly from the beginning. Whoever made that model of a car needs to be hit for it. Even the toy car was ugly to me. One car I would not mind having is a Ford Fusion. It is cute to me and it is a gas saver. I think that car would look nice with me in it. My daddy thought differently. He said I should be in an SUV because of the space I can have. Either way it go, I will be behind the wheel with a motor and four wheels. That is good enough to me. Anotther car I would not mind having is a Lexus. They are so sexy to me. They are expensive but they are worth the money. They can have heated seats, start button, and everything that a car can have. Shoot, the new Sonata have Bluetooth technology in the car. One of these cars have a reverse camera in it. A few of them have a navigation system in them. Cars are so good to us.

Technology in the world

Technology have gotten better and has improve successfully since the early 1900s. It started from the earliest airplane to the thinnest computer. Thank goodness for technology. It has made our lives easier in a way but they can be dangerous. The cell phone was a good thing to have. You can call people without having to go all the way back home or use a payphone to figure out what is happening.The payphones were very popular years ago but now they are barely seen in the world now. The Bluetooth headset also was contribute to the technology improvement. this device is so high in technology that you can talk on the phone hands free. Throughout the world technology has expand gradually which is a major factor in the world. Technology has basically taken over the world in many ways. This invention has lead to a decrease in employment rates. Technology has connected to human nature in various ways. It has made human life easier and better. Technology has made the world a faster environment and a rapid response to thing. Years ago, things were slower and was a timely response but with the help of great people with great minds technology changed this.In the world now people can sit at home and still have a job, order clothes and food, and even make appointments without leaving home. Due to high technology, most jobs depend on technology to get their job done. Most things in technology has gone from corded and now things are cordless. For example, over in Iraq they use computerized bombs to make explosion and make attacks. This invention has made the war an easier and smarter tasks for the soliders.

Food

Food can be good and bad for your health. There are different varieties of food throughout the world. The show on the Discovery channel made it possible that people can eat just about anything. I do not see how they do that. I like food but I rather stick to American food. Some of these countries be eating the nastiest stuff. I would not mind eating a little bit of Italian, Chinese, French, other good tasting food, but you will not see me any kind of cat or dog. That is not me. They are good for pets, not be chopped up and stuck on a stick with teriyaki sauce. One thing that I love is chocolate. Whoever came up with chocolate needs to bu hugged because it can make you happy and antioxidant. Dark chocolate is antioxidant so it is good for your body. Fruits and vegetables are good to eat, especially my favorite, strawberries. I would eat them all day and night if I have any left over by the time night comes.

Drinks are good, too, depending on what is being mixed. They sugary taste of punch will be good for a special occasion. A glass of lemonade is good in the summertime when you are sitting by the pool. Beer is a drink that brings men together during a football game. Please drink responsibly because drinking too much will get some people a little too excited. Wine is nice to drink with a steak at an expensive restaurant. There all kinds of food in the world.

Credit Cards

You wake up with the sun glowing in your face. You start to think about what you're going to do today. You are in a splurging mood. There are some shoes that have been running across your mind since they came on televisison. You realized that the shoes are a big seller and they are coming out today. You have to buy them before they are sold out. You get out of the bed, do your hygiene for the day, get in the car, and drive to the mall. You are trying to speed to get to the mall. Once iyou are in, you jog to the nearest shoe store that you can find. You see the shoes you want and ask the sales clerk for a size ten. He finds them and give them to you. You go to the desk and the price of the shoes are $58.30. You look in your wallet and see that you don't have a dollar in sight. You look to the left of the wallet and see your Visa credit card. You usually use the card for emergency only, but buying those shoes are an emergency. You contemplate and finally come to the conclusion to swipe the card, even though you are going to have a bill that will not look good when it comes in the mail.

Credit cards are used daily by millions of people like they are real cash. There are different types of brand names, such as Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and others. They feel good being swiped in the numerous stores. They do build interest and that can put people into debt. That can hurt your heart and your credit score. As for me, I personally don't care what happens because I have two of them myself.

Teen Pregnancy

Teen pregnancy is a big issue, especially in Mississippi with is a state that ranks in the top three when it comes to teen pregnancy.Teen girls left and right are getting pregnant. The average age range of teen pregnancy are starting at the age of fourteen. Due to poor parenting skills and too much freedom among young teenage it trapped them to try new things and the things that hear going on. In the world now, teenage are curious about things and are often bored which also contribute to the high pregnancy rate.Mississippi is a poor state when it comes to funds and most family are poor, this forces the pregnancy person to have the baby because they can not afford to get an abortion.The idea of getting on birth control is quite embarrassing for teenage girls in which they choose not to get on because of the stereotypes said about it. For instance, the actors Jamie Lynn Spears (Britney's Spears sister) who is sixteen,give teenagers the prospective to think getting pregnancy is fine. Most teenagers look up to celebrities and try to follow their lead which make cause them to do what they do because they feel its right.In addition, with teens having unprotected sex, it has lead to a drastic increase in the abortion rates. Although, condoms are not 100 percent effective and guaranteed to protect against pregnancy and to prevent against sexual transmitted diseases, abstinence is the number choice to fight against these issues.

The finals of next week

I am going to be on the go next week. I can feel it. There is so much I'm going to have to cram in my head. These finals are going to kill my booty. I'm trying my best to see the good side of things, like having the knowledge of what has been taught to me over the course of four months. Another one is once I'm through, I don't have to worry about taking anymore tests in that class until next year, making it easier for me to enjoy my Christmas holiday. That'll be so good. It's just so much to know. I'm not used to these kind of tests since I just came out of high school but I will survive. I have gotten my chemistry lab final out the way and, thankfully, I did not have a biology exam to study for also. Some of the tests next week are going to be easy. Some are going to be hard. I pray the Lord watch over me because I am going to need it.

I have a feeling that my chemistry final will be easy since it is multiple choice. That is good because I will have a twenty-five percent chance of getting the question right. There is a lot I have to study. Givng the review of what is going to be on the test will require a lot of formulas and equations. I am glad that I like chemistry and it is my major because I will really be hating this now. On this test, my teacher usually put a twenty-five point curve, therefore, making it good for me. And for english, I am glad that I have to turn in my four-page paper. That will give me enough of time to study for my test.

Now, history and biology is a different story. The test for history is going to kill my butt. It is so much on the review that I do not know about. When did teachers start to identify empires on the map? Come on!!! I rather find the cities inside the country before trying to find these empires. Essay questions are not my best. And biology is not making it any better. I don't know anything about all they polyphase and all that scientific stuff. I just pray that I get a passing grade on all my exams so I will not be on academic probation.

Since I read my paper in class Tuesday, this is my free blog for the week.

This week coming up....

This week coming up needs to be a good one. I'm through for the day. I'm going to work on my book report that is due Monday and my first draft which is due Tuesday. I'm through with my labs. That means no more advanced studies until next year. Those things will make a girl shed a tear with all that German language going on. I made it though and thank God for that. Today, I'm going to get my hair done and have it smelling and looking good for the guys.....lol. I'm going to buy the new Beyonce CD so I can have something to listen to while doing what I need to do. This will be a good day to chill with friends and all that good stuff. I know I'm going to have a lot on my plate.



Tomorrow, my friends and I are going to the Classics in Jackson to see Jackson State play against Alcorn State. That's going to be a battle because the bands are going to battle each other. I can't wait to hear what they have in store. Finally, I'll be able to listen to something other than the school's fight song, the ESPN song (the boring one...at my high school, we had some kind of beat instead of a straight eight count), and Trick Daddy's old song "Let's Go". That get quite tiring. We had no choice but to pay attention to the football games but they were good. That is going to be nice.



And next week is Thanksgiving holidays. I'm going to try my best not to eat throughout the week so I can have some room in my stomach for some good, home cooking, deep-fried turkey. Turkey so good, it'll make you wanna slap your mama. And all the other good stuff that goes with, such as dressing, greens, ham, pecan pie, sweet potato pie, mashed potatoes, variety of cakes and everything else. I'll be able to spend time with my family and my long time friend from Baltimore, whom is supposed to be coming to Mississippi for Thanksgiving holidays. After Thanksgiving, it's time to hit the mall for those after Thanksgiving sales. I'm going to tear that mall up!!! At least I'll get some exercise while running up and down the mall to every store around. Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Rock Band

Rock Band can be so addictive. People just buying it and I don't blame them. It's fun once you get the hang of it. That what happened for me. That game, I, and probably more people, thought it wasn't worth looking at. It all changed when my cousin bought the Rock Band set. She bought the box set, where you have the game including the drum set, guitar, and microphone. I played the drums while she sung in the microphone. After her singing and me looking like an ameteur on the drums, I wanted to play some more. By the end of my visit that day, we went through six songs and in the middle of another when my father yelled it's time to go. Boy, was I upset. It wasn't the end of me. During an overnight stay, we played Rock Band until we finished the World Tour. That was so fun!!!!!

Like I said, Rock Band is addictive. It's pretty easy to learn. They also have catchy rock songs from famous rock bands, such as Nirvana, Weezer, Fall Out Boys, Bon Jovi and many more. Whoever invented Rock Band is getting paid some serious cash. Now they have Rock Band 2 out. I have to get that game. I need to buy a game system first. They have it now where it can be played in Wal-Mart in the menswear. I played and I was excited. I would've stayed and played the whole game but I had to get some shopping done. Gosh, I want to play again.

What a weekend I'm going to have!!!!

This weekend, alot will be going on. Friday is Halloween and the day after is USM Homecoming against UAB. That is going to be a game!! This Halloween, I wanted to go out and get scared. That's why my friends and I are planning to go to a trail to get scared silly, which is what I'm waiting for. I never been to a trail on Halloween but I bet it will be fun. Having the feeling that something or someone is watching you can get you adrenaline pumping. You scared about the environment but you're waiting to see something crazy happen. I'm loving it already.

Halloween is quite fun. I'll be able to participate since I'm away from home. This is so exciting!!!! It's even more exciting since my family don't celebrate Halloween. I don't see anything wrong with the holiday, it's how people celebrate it that's making it look bad. It's a time to go around and trick or treat, you know, get some candy. Other people take it too seriously, such as cults. I'm just saying what I feel about Halloween.

For Homecoming, I don't know what to do!!! I'm going to support my college football team as much as I can. But, it would be nice for them to win Homecoming. I'm not standing out in the cold weather to have another lost go forth. I had enough of my old high school losing on our Homecoming. I'm not about to have my college football team following in their footsteps. That's not pretty. I'm still going to support my team, no doubt, but when it's comes to winning a game, I kind of have my bet on the other team. That's not good but it's the truth. I just like the atmosphere of the game.

Slacking Is A Hassle

I have been slacking on everything in school. My work isn't up to par like it should be. Lately, I've been going out almost everyday and not doing my work like I should. I told myself that I wasn't going to play around and always make sure that my work comes first before anything else. I broke that quick. I haven't applied myself like I want to and it's hard getting back on the right track. I need some help getting my college life back together like it needs to. I'm probably going to have to just cut every activity out for the whole week except on Saturdays and Sundays. Oh......my........goodness. What did I just say??? I can't do that!!!! I thought about that and that's not my cup of tea. I think I'll stick to my motto "Work first, play later". Now that sounds like it's right up my alley, not over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house we go. No!!!! I'm too lazy!!!! That's my problem. I'm always calling myself lazy. When something is hard for me, instead of asking a teacher or another person that has the answer or really thinking it over again, I quit right then and there and go on to something fun. That's my slacking problem. Another one of my problems with slacking is procrastinating. I wait until the last minute to finally get serious, such as studying for a test of doing advanced studies and what not for labs and lectures. I believe that if I put my mind to it and stop putting things off until the last minute, I will make it. I thinks that what I'll do, starting today.

Last Minute Work

If last minute work was a job, I would be the manager. I have my tendencies of procrastinating on my work until the day before it's due. I don't know why but I need to get out of that mode. I'm in college now and I don't need to put stuff off for something else. For example, today I did 2 assignments that could've been done a week or month ago. I waited until the last minute. Not only am I tired but I had points taken off. I am so unorganized!!!! I need to get back on schedule like I was at the beginning of school. That's goes for everybody else that waits until the last minute to get stuff done.

It's not good at all to wait until the last minute. It can be hectic, especially with papers that has to be typed to get any kind of grade on it. It can hurt socially. You have to put off the whole day to get the assignment ready for the next day. That's mean you can't do anything with your buddies that night. While they're chumping on food and having a good time, you're in the library or wherever you are doing work on the American Consitution or whatever has to be done the next day or, in most cases, in a few hours.

People can't even get the full eight hours of sleep that is recommended for the body's sake. I'm a culprit about that. I have stayed up plenty of times in the morning studying for a test that is not easy, no matter how you look at it. For my term paper, I stayed up until four in the morning writing on the three witches in MacBeth and their important role in the play. I still didn't get finished that night. I had to miss my English class, which was when the paper was due, to get finished and, by the grace of God, I was finished before that bell rung for the next class. If I turned that paper in right after the bell rung, that would've been a thirty point deduction off the grade you made on that paper. I did not need that extra consequence!!!!! That paper set me at a B and I was so happy. After that, I said no procrastination for me. I guess I went back on my word alot lately. I'm sleepy right now just by typing this blog and I haven't been on it for thirty minutes. I worked myself!!!!!!

I just saying don't do last minute work. It's not worth it!!!!

Football can make a man go crazy!!!!

Football is a good game. Football is a competitive sport that is, sometimes, good to watch with the family. It is also a fun sport that teams can beat up on each other and don't get charged for aggravated assault and domestic violence. It could also make a man lose his mind for the 4 quarters of this rough game. I'm telling the truth.

If you watch a football game with a guy, expect to have a pillow for protection, especially if it's their favorite team. Men will literally beat down the couch and almost knock a hole in the floor if their favorite team or player make a touchdown. And you know it's the truth!!!! If men cheer like that at home, then they go all out for the game, especially the NFL game.

For example, when Southern Miss played Louisiana, that was quite fun. There were some men that were cool with the game, a few shouts here and there. There were some men that stood the whole time, yelling plays like they were Larry Fedora themselves. One thing that did catch my eye were these 3 dudes painted in black and gold with the letters of USM for each guy. One of them were quite heavy at the top. That was my first time seeing of actual Eagle spirit because I always saw it on TV. My eyes were fixated on all 3 of them, no matter how hard I tried to turn away. Eventually I did and enjoyed the game with the rest of the barbaric men. LOL

And some men thinks football is their life. They would probably sell their soul to the devil if they can have, at least, a position on that team. It's nice to support the team and all but, please, don't evolve yourself around the team. There's other things to do other than watching football every Saturday and doing nothing else until you see who's going to the playoffs.

That's why football make a man go crazy!!! Be happy!!!

Campaign of 2008

I don't know what to say about the campaigns this year. Obama has made history and McCain is history. There has been many things said about both of them (i.e. McCain saying his wife should be in a topless pageant (I don't know the name of it), Obama smokes (or whatever made them get they're panties/drawers in a bunch). We should outweigh the good over the bad. We are America!!! We're smarter than that.

We should try something different. We picked George Bush for 8 straight years and that's was quite ironic but somewhat wrong in a way. It was good and bad. George Bush's father was the President of the United States in 1989 and he came out alright. That was good. Get this, though. He is also related to another former president back in the 1800s. He was related to him on his mother's side and he was known as the dumbest president to ever be in office (Franklin Pierce: 1853-1857). Let's not make that same mistake again.

I'm happy for both of them, especially for Barack Obama. An African American has made it this far (I don't care what he's mixed with, he still part BLACK). I'm also happy for McCain. He is now known as the oldest person to run for president. Of course!!! He's older than a former, yet deceased, President of the United States Ronald Reagan. Now that's history and you know it.

I'm sorry to say this but we might as well vote Obama in office. McCain looks like he's holding on to his last breath and if he let it go, I feel sorry for his family. I want him to spend his time in Bora Bora, making his last years on earth worthwhile. He don't need the struggle of a presidential life. That job makes your nerves go bad. I hope that's worth the pay.

The Republican convention on television was enough for me. I couldn't believe it. A Democratic senator or whatever he supposed to be spoke at the Republican convention. I thought he was supposed to be supporting Obama. Instead he was on stage talking about we should pick somebody for the benefit for this country instead of which party they're in. Obama should've kicked him out of the Democratic party and made him go to the other side. I don't remember him speaking on 4 years ago about picking someone for the benefit of the country. He just didn't want Obama to win. He had his 15 minutes of fame. They should have taken him off or said disregard that speech. That's just my saying.

All I have to say to both of them is good luck and may the Lord be with them.

FACEBOOK IS IT!!!!!

Facebook is the world on the computer. It has become a place for friendship, relationship, and even meetings. Facebook has excelled over the years that it was first known to the public. Everybody didn't know that much about it at first. Come on now!!! When Facebook came along, people had to be invited from a person of the same school. And it was a one-time offer!!!! Once that's gone, there wasn't another chance. I know!!!! Now, it's open to the public and anyone could sign in. Why they didn't do that in the first place to make things easier??? I don't know. I am not the owner of this, now, publicized website.

Facebook is like a friendship inside a friendship, a relationship inside a relationship, the chips inside a bag without air making up for most of the space in the bag, making you think that you're getting your money worth when the actual chips are covering less than half of the bag. That's another subject. Let's not get off of point here. Anyway, Facebook has been known for some time. It's just now getting credit for what it's due. Nowadays, there are many students, even adults, that have a Facebook page. I am not joking. My high school chemistry teacher, which I am friends with on the website, has a Facebook page. Most of the people at USM have Facebook page or have known about it.

Facebook is like a phone number. When people are conversing and they have to go, at least one of them ask "Are you on Facebook?" If answered with a yes, the whole name is given and the day you check your Facebook, you have a friend request. It's the person you were talking to the day before or whenever you last conversed with him or her. What a nice, but random, thing to do.

Facebook has a nice environment to it. There hasn't been ugly things said on it that I know of. Such as Myspace, some people write all kinds of immature things on there like they don't give a care in the world about what they say about people in such vulgar lauguage, making people have suicidal thoughts or commit suicide. That's crazy to me. On Facebook, all I have seen being posted were, greetings, conversations, and birthday greetings. They're not being mean in any kind of way. That's probably why so many people are on it.

The website has an easy way to set up a profile. People don't have to figure out how to have a background. Everybody has the same background. Editing profiles are quite easy to do. Finding friends isn't a hassle. The information they have given is enough to find them.

Like I said, Facebook is it!!!!!
